Tom has worked at IMG for over 7 years, mostly focussing on the area of digital media. Over the years he has had the privilege of working with some of the largest rights holders in the world of sports, helping them to define and execute a strategy in digital media. Clients that include the All England Lawn Tennis Club, The R&A, the IRB, a number of leading football clubs and even the Miss World pageant! He has worked with the All England Club since 2003 and now assists the Club define and execute its digital media strategy across all areas of the business in which IMG is involved- including media rights and sponsorship. In recent years, this work has increasingly included the definition of a social media strategy to support the Club’s objective of increasing the accessibility and visibility of coverage of The Championships through multiple digital outlets 

 

Mike Dunphy

Mike Dunphy managed the MUmobile business for Manchester United between 2004 and 2009 delivering many firsts in the mobile sports arena, concentrating on content distribution and servicing fans via the mobile whilst supporting the club’s wider commercial strategy. He set up MD Media Consulting in 2008 with the vision of helping brands and organisations maximise their mobile potential. He has worked with numerous brands in football, mobile and gaming including Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Vodafone, IGT/Barcrest. He has previously worked in various product management and commercial roles in a number of telecoms operators and technology providers. He is a Business Graduate and an Associate of the CIM.

Rob Rijsenbrij

 Rob has started his career as pro skier.

After this he was active with in the world of international trend & sport marketing. Snowboarding, Freestyle Skiing, Beach Volleyball, but also Inline Skating, combined with music and new media had and still as his interest.

From 2001 – 2004 Rob worked for a daughter company of the Dutch State Lottery. This company was setting up mobile lottery concepts, including a technical platform for this and a special payment provider called Digipay. Rob was for both companies responsible for the International Sales & Marketing.
Here started Robs passion for the possibilities of the mobile phone as the one to one communication tool to the end user, but also his believe that when giving people a chance to win, the are open for new messages.

2004 – 2006, Rob worked as CMO for an Austrian based company, Smartmachine, active as a technical solution provider and in close collaboration with SkiData, at mobile ticketing concepts.

End 2006 Rob was one of the founders of THAZZA.

Philipp Wessel leads the New Media department of SPORTFIVE GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg, Germany and has more than 10 years business experience in New Media. He oversees SPORTFIVE activities in internet, mobile and digital tv. This includes licensing and marketing of new media rights and new media content as well as the management of SPORTFIVE's own new media projects and platforms. SPORTFIVE was a pioneer of Internet live streaming and realised in 1998 one of the first live streamings of a football match in the web. Today SPORTFIVE streams live more than 500 sport events per year on their different web tv portals. 

Alistair Kirkwood

Alistair Kirkwood heads up the NFL’s UK office in London, overseeing all commercial operations, including television negotiations and the staging of NFL International Series games in the UK.
Under his guidance, the NFL has achieved consistent growth in the UK over the past three years and has now staged two sell-out games at Wembley Stadium – the only regular-season NFL games ever staged outside North America – with the third game scheduled for October 2009. UK broadcast coverage of the Super Bowl in February achieved a combined audience of seven million on BBC ONE, Sky Sports and BBC Radio Five Live, while the NFL’s UK internet site has grown in the past two years to achieve a database of almost 250,000 registered users.

Jasper played in the youth and reserves of the Dutch professional footballclub FC Utrecht. After his footballcareer and his study economics in Amsterdam and Tel Aviv, he worked for Heineken as a (trade)marketeer in the Netherlands, Democratic Republic of Congo and Istanbul till december 2006.

In 2006 he started entrepreneuring when he founded TalentCom, an online recruitment agency. In 2007 he founded Play like a Champion, in which he combined his real passions: football, gaming and new media. Play like a Champion focuses on online quiz communities for football- and sportsfans. In 2008 the company launched PlaylikeaChampion.nl, the No.1 online Dutch footballquiz platform which can also be seen as a TV show on national television. PlaylikeaChampion.nl is currently exploited in cooperation with the Dutch football TV channel Eredivisie Live. In 2009 the company launched it’s first dedicated club quizcommunity with Feyenoord Rotterdam.
